Maywood Environmental Park is accepting applications for the position of Park Director. The Park Director plans, directs and implements the overall operations of Maywood Environmental Park, from identifying and creating the strategic direction of the organization, to coordinating, implementing and supervising the daily operations of the park and facilities. The Director is an employee of Maywood Environmental Park and reports to both the board of directors, as well as the City of Sheboygan Parks & Forestry Superintendent.   This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or one of the natural sciences, or a degree in education with specialization in the natural sciences.   To view the job description, please click here.

The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for a part-time Municipal Court Assistant Clerk to work up to 30 hours per week. Duties include performing various tasks from maintaining court records, preparing legal documents, reports, and filing. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of discretion, confidentiality and integrity, and utilize good judgment, tact and courtesy in dealing with employees and the public. The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works is accepting applications for two leadership and managerial openings: Superintendent of Streets & Sanitation and Superintendent of Buildings, Grounds, Electrical & Safety. Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, is responsible for the planning and efficient operations of the respective departments and work crews. BS/BA in Management, Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred, with eight years experience relating to public works projects or operations, construction management, maintenance, scheduling or related work. These individuals must have strong leadership and organizational capabilities, as well as be computer literate. The typical working hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., as well as some nights and weekends. A valid WI Motor Vehicle Operators License is required. Salary range for these positions is $60,355 – $90,533/year, DOQ, and an excellent benefits package.

The Mead Public Library, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for two part-time (20 hours per week) Library Assistant positions on our Public Services Team. We are looking for candidates who will provide friendly, high quality customer service to library patrons, as well as perform responsible and varied para-professional library duties in the areas of circulation, youth and adult services.


  • Performs full range of circulation desk duties including issuing library cards, checking materials in and out, reserving books, collecting fees, and answering the phone.
  • Responds to patrons’ requests for information and assistance, or refers inquiries to a professional librarian.
  •        Assists patrons with public access computers, online catalog terminals, and use of library materials.
  • Participates in programming and special events.
  • Maintains records, logs, or other statistical information in assigned unit.
  •        Performs duties at all service desks as needed.
  • Performs related clerical tasks as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of library principles and practices.
  • Understands computers and automated library systems.
  • Works in a pleasant and effective manner with patrons, co-workers, and volunteers.
  • Works independently and takes initiative to successfully complete duties.
  • Enjoys reading and using library materials and helping others of all ages enjoy library resources.


Necessary qualifications

  • High school graduate minimum, college work completed or graduate preferred.
  • Requires good interpersonal skills, communications skills, and the desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • A working knowledge of library principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures, computer, and technology skills.
  • Ability to deal cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to use library catalog(s) and databases
  • Ability to handle security issues and problem patrons with diplomacy
  • Ability to work at a computer for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to stand for long periods

Library Assistants selected will be asked to work an average schedule comprised of 4 hour shifts over 5 days that will include one evening per week and two weekend shifts per month

Salary: $12.45/hour, plus pro-rated benefits.
