CERTIFIED TRUCK MECHANIC
The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for a Heavy Duty Certified Truck Mechanic. Under general supervision, performs journeyman level automotive and truck repair as required of a certified heavy duty truck mechanic, performs non-motorized equipment repair, and performs related work as required. Must maintain certification by the Nation Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) as a general heavy duty truck mechanic, this includes certification in diesel and gasoline engines. An ASE certification is required for a minimum of four (4) years prior to being employed by the City of Sheboygan. Further four (4) years experience working as an ASE certified mechanic in a municipal service garage environment, while not required, would be a plus. Also required is a valid Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and a CDL with required endorsements upon hire or ability to obtain within 3 months attain same by completion of probationary period. Minimum starting salary is $47,840. Applications will be excepted until position is filled. SEASONAL TEMPORARY HELP GENERAL LABOR/MAINTENANCE
The City of Sheboygan is accepting applications for seasonal temporary help in the Public Works Department. Duties include lawn mowing, raking, garbage collection, and general grounds maintenance including bathroom care. Must have good physical stamina, be able to work out of doors in varying climatic conditions, be at least 18 years of age. The normal hours of work are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday and occasional Saturdays or Sundays. Minimum rate of pay is $9.00 per hour.

Shoreline Metro provides fixed route public transportation to the Cities of Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls and Village of Kohler. Successful candidates who possess or are be able to obtain a CDL license, class B with air brakes restrictions lifted and “P” endorsement, have 2-3 years of experience preferably in public transit or administration and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays. Starting wage is $22.86/hr and includes an excellent benefit package.
