The Engineering Division is responsible the for the effective design of new infrastructure and the design of reconstruction of existing infrastructure. Engineering maintains the official City map and other geographical information.
Engineering Division News
The City of Sheboygan Engineering Division office has moved to the Department of Public Works/Municipal Service Building offices at 2026 New Jersey Avenue. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Current Engineering Projects
Bid No. 2353-11, 2011 Bituminous Resurfacing II- Superior Avenue N. 8th to N. 14th St.
Project to be re-bid in the Spring of 2012.
Awarded Engineering Projects
Sanitary Sewer Relocation, CTH EE and CTH OK
This sewer relocation has been completed and was one part of the County’s new round about project at that intersection. This new round about was opened to traffic at the end of July.

Work has been progressing throughout spring and summer. Several downtown streets have been completed, S. 18th Street is near completion and Huron Avenue is in progress
Bid No. 2351-11 – 2011 Concrete Sidewalk Construction
The contract was awarded to H. Tod Culver, Inc., Fond du Lac, WI (Jim Klunck Masonry is the sub) with a bid of $63,585.00. Work has been progressing throughout summer and is near completion.
Bid No. 2350-11 – 2011 Bituminous Resurfacing – North Ave. from N. 10th to N. 15th St.
The low bidder was Northeast Asphalt, Fond du Lac, WI with a bid of $614,865.75. Contract was approved at the April 18th Council meeting. Work has been progressing with completion expected by mid August.
Eisner Avenue Reconstruction

The proposed Eisner Avenue Reconstruction from North 21st Street and North 8th Street is being designed by AECOM Technical Services, Inc. and is funded in part by a Sheboygan County Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program Grant as well as the City of Sheboygan and Town of Sheboygan. This project is scheduled for construction the summer of 2012 and should be completed in late fall of 2012.
The proposed project will include the complete reconstruction of Eisner Avenue to an urban roadway with curb, gutter, storm sewer, stormwater retention basin on the east end, street lighting, sidewalks and bike lanes. It is also proposed to build a roundabout type intersection where Eisner Avenue crosses County Highway “LS”.
