Board of Water Commissioners
The Board of Water Commissioners takes entire charge and responsibility for the management of the Water Utility and employs or contracts for management and non-management employees.
The Board of Water Commissioners has complete charge of construction, extension, improvement, operation and maintenance of the Water Utility, subject to the powers and jurisdiction fixed by law and the ordinances of the City and the rules of the Public Service Commission. It may purchase sites and make, prepare, and adopt plans, designs and specifications for buildings, machinery, apparatus and the laying of mains and appliances required for the proper functioning of the Utility.
