Household hazardous wastes are prohibited from being disposed into your curbside collection. What are household hazardous wastes? Items such as: flammable liquids, oil-based paints, solvents, varnishes, thinners, reactives (typically pool chemicals), fluorescent bulbs, computers, household batteries, acids & bases, old gasoline, pesticides & herbicides, cleaners, aerosols, poisons and antifreeze.
The Sheboygan County administers the household hazardous waste collection program. Sheboygan County has established two collection sites for disposing of hazardous wastes. There is no charge to County residents (except for the disposal of computers). The program is funded with County tax dollars – proof of residency may be required.
